VORBRENNER is a contemporary art platform that promotes process-oriented work across all disciplines and genres. It offers short-term opportunities for collaboration for both collectives and individual artists in search of new insights and contemporary forms of expression that engage with an interdisziplinary concept of art and science. The focus is on a movement that is curious, experimental, researching, and developing, that welcomes the unfinished, the paradoxical, and the fragmentary. For exploratory trials of such nature, VORBRENNER provides the BRUX premises along with infrastructure and financial resources.

        When I am You and You Are We is an extended reality installation in which visitors become part of a collective performance, merging into a unified sensory experience. What unfolds when we share our most intimate and personal space: our own body? As we physically merge into a collective, we are invited to explore our relationship with the "Others." The performance transforms into an interactive, open-ended narrative that challenges the role of the individual and emphasizes collaborative creation. It evolves into an empathic machine, an instrument that enables us to feel with and through one another, thereby developing unconventional communication strategies—non-verbal and non-symbolic forms of exchange that reject categorization, discrimination, and labeling. Ultimately, it becomes a form of co-creation in which each of us is a unique contributor.

        Anna Pompermaier

        (IT, *1991) ist Architektin, Bauingenieurin und Researcherin. Als Teil des ./studio3, Institut für Experimentelle Architektur erforscht sie die Einflüsse immersiver Technologien auf die Zukunft der Architektur und untersucht dabei digitale und tatsächliche Materialitäten. Ihr Verständnis vom Raum ist phygital, erkundbar zwischen dem Virtuellen und dem Physischen, eine hybride Realität. Ihre Arbeiten wurden bei Ars Electronica Festival, VRHAM! und ADAF vorgestellt.

        Stefan Maier

        (AT, *1994) arbeitet im Zwischenspiel von Architektur und bildender Kunst und ist derzeit am ./studio3, Institut für Experimentelle Architektur tätig. In seiner Arbeit erforscht er die Beziehung zwischen dem Physischen und Digitalen. Dabei versucht er ein nicht-binäres Verständnis der beiden Zustände zu provozieren, wo Grenzen beginnen zu verschwimmen. Er arbeitet mit verschiedenen immersiven Medien und untersucht die Materialität des Immateriellen. Wie schmecken bytes und wie riechen bits?
