“Terra arrasada – Burnt Earth,” a cross-disciplinary performance that examines the destructive nature of Western societies, was conceived by the recently formed duo of choreographer/performer Clarissa Rêgo (BR/PT) and musician/sound artist Thilo Seevers (AT/DE). Drawing inspiration from non-Western perspectives, such as those of indigenous communities in the Amazon region, the artists question the motives behind social resistance to abandon destructive cultural practices and explore new approaches to solving environmental and social challenges, translating them into inspiring, performative elements. Through interactive exchanges and presentations, they aim to initiate a dialogue with the community to promote collective progress. The performance is not intended to produce a stand-alone art product, but rather to contribute to global knowledge.
