VORBRENNER is a contemporary art platform that promotes process-oriented work across all disciplines and genres. It offers short-term opportunities for collaboration for both collectives and individual artists in search of new insights and contemporary forms of expression that engage with an interdisziplinary concept of art and science. The focus is on a movement that is curious, experimental, researching, and developing, that welcomes the unfinished, the paradoxical, and the fragmentary. For exploratory trials of such nature, VORBRENNER provides the BRUX premises along with infrastructure and financial resources.

Companies and corporations often hide behind abstract brand names, operating from anonymous glass buildings and remote industrial parks. Their production processes are frequently outsourced, and they are intricately networked. Markets have transformed from focusing on basic survival needs to catering to existential desires and personal fulfillment. What, however, exactly is produced in the post-industrial factory?
The best way to learn is to go directly to the source and engage with the remarkable people behind these companies, like Marc, Fabian, and Lia. Day after day, they provide valuable insights into the production process, address customer inquiries, and defuse critical questions with humor and years of expertise.
Inspired by real factory tours and company visits, the theater project “Wasteland of Labor” uses video walls, guitar sounds, and live chats to unveil the real story behind these organizations. We reveal the secret of their success: welcome to the crewless factory of the future!
