This is not about retelling old stories. It is about imagining new stories, new ways of telling them, and new visions of what is to come. And what is to come is not exactly glossy; it will be marked by scarcity and the struggle to survive. It is about temperature – identity – water – air – adrenaline – community – hope. The project centers around a protagonist born in 2071 who experiences a seemingly endless day – excerpts of which are being developed cinematically. The aesthetic and narrative focus is not on technological and accelerationist "progress" but on the human body against the backdrop of extreme climatic conditions and everyday teenage life. What do family relationships, political changes, women's rights, extreme geopolitical crises, concentrations of power, borders, and continents look like? How is Europe and its role in world politics evolving? The final presentation will be an installation with objects in both theaters, which will be used for test recordings and a happening.
